| Historic Christ Episcopal Church, erected in the early 18th century and located on Route 33 at Christchurch, VA, has completed a new Parish House addition. The addition includes a new 5,500-square-foot multi-purpose addition including educational, nursery, administration spaces, and a renovated 4000 square-foot Parish House with new commercial kitchen. The historic Colonial-style church sanctuary and burial place for Marine Lt. General Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller, has remained undisturbed. The new Parish House addition, designed in the same architectural style as the sanctuary, envelopes the front of the existing church Parish House, creating a more compatible appearance with the existing sanctuary. |
